Regional Logistics Unit

The Regional Logistics Unit (RLU) under PADRU supports operation logistics management before, during and after a disaster, collaborating in the development of assessment and definition of the logistics strategy in the field.

The RLU manages two warehouses: one in Howard in Panama City and the other in the Colon Free Trade Zone. These warehouses store humanitarian relief supplies for immediate distribution to 25,000 families (125,000 people). These supplies can be shipped in less than 24 hours to the affected area.

Several Partner National Societies store humanitarian relief items in RLU warehouses."
